CAMELS, CAROUSELS AND CACOPHONY

What does my country mean to thee?
If it’s not camels, carousels and cacophony
What is India if not the hullabaloo
Her identity lies in my pallu.

Canons, Nikons, Olympus’ go wild
Bangles, scarves, mother, and child,
Clicking relentlessly, capturing every moment
What would you click if not India my friend?

Caravan of camels padding around
Slumbering, chewing, nowhere bound,
Colorful coats and saddles beckon
Click or climb, what do you reckon?

Anklets jingle as they dart away
On carousels big and small they sway,
As the swing circles upwards and fast
Mirth and thrill forget the past.

O Pushkar I have waited for you
Dazed and delighted I am swimming through,
Camels, carousels, Canon clicks galore
The cacophony of life at large to explore!
